Who would win, Indy car vs F1 on a Indy track / Indy vs F1 on a F1 track (like Monaco)?

  1. F1 would easily beat an Indy car.  It is more about gearing the cars to run at top speed. F1 cars have more down force than an Indy car. Currently F1 cars are designed to accelerate extremely fast and brake extremely fast hence the huge amount of down force on the car. F1 cars are lighter, have 2-300 more HP, rev to 18-19000 rpm compared to 12-13000 rpm for an Indy car.  If F1 were to run at Indy and they changed the gearing to run at top speed they would just run away from the Indy cars.


  2. you people are crazy, a F1 car is more advanced in every way, but the Indy car would SMOKE a formula one car on an oval track, it;s not even a question, the indy car would roll the F1 car up and smoke it
