  1. The squirrel would, rats are horrible vicious animals but a squirrel has more power behind it more then any wild rat. Squirrels are also naturally vicious if attacked and with its powerful back legs the rats would be dead within a few minutes but them fighting is rare, the rat would run before it was even spotted by the squirrel. Rats are scavengers, they eat dead animals, they have not the power to kill anything bigger then a domesticated rodent smaller then it.

  2. I would say the rat without doubt, it is a vicious omnivore against the nut eating squirrel, it is also more adept at defending itself against predators.

  3. i would say a squirrel

  4. Rats just seem a bit meaner, so I would bet on a rat.

  5. Squirrel all day long

  6. I'll go for the squirrel. Having the ability to climb gives it an advantage. Also it could throw stuff down at the rat and shout abuse at it until the rat looses it's sanity. Then it can run down and beat the c**p out of his weakened target. ;)

  7. squirrel! squirels have huge claws and move to quicklly!

  8. If your'e referring to a wild rat (which I'm assuming you are), then it would definitely be the rat. I've encountered them before, and although both are wild animals, rats are absolutely vicious. (Complete 180 from domesticated ones.)

  9. The squirrel would bite the rats nuts off I reckon!!

  10. Depends on the size of the rat.

But if it's "average" -- Squirrel.

  11. I would say the rat. Rats are omnivores making them part carnivorous. And if you’re a carnivore, half or full, you need predatory skills. And if you have predatory skills you need to have intelligence. Rats are highly intelligent giving them very good predatory skills. And I'm sure that some rat prey doesn't go down without a fight. And we cannot forget about the idea of territory fights between rats which can result in death. Giving a rat some combat skills. Rats also have good speed to help escape predators, but I don’t think they can match the squirrel. Rats also have skills in the defense part because they have  mean predators that like rat snacks. So with the intelligence, predatory skills, defense skills, speed and possibly combat skills on its side a rat would most likely win. For squirrels, they are herbivores. Having a diet of mostly nuts, this doesn’t require much intelligence. And having the climbing skills gives them the advantage of escape. But squirrels can also be territorial so some have had a fight or two in their day. Giving them some combat skills, but not much. Because their territory fights are often just chasing. Squirrels have the motto "Fight or Flight", mostly resulting in flight, so squirrels have to have some sort of speed. Unlike rats which will choose fight over flight any day, they are a tough bunch. But both have aggression when needed so that is a big part of it to. Size also matters, but I'm pretty sure rats and squirrels are almost alike in the size department. All in all it would be a close match. But the rat has the slighter advantage. And keep in mind that these are wild animals, so don’t judge the domestic ones.

  12. id say the rat, it would probably call for reinforcements

  13. I'd say rat because it's more vicious and would call for it's buddies help.

  14. Well maybe the rat, if the squirrel messed with him the rat would get his boys and they would gnaw his feet off!!

  15. Probably the rat unless the squirrel had a flick knife :-)

  16. Lol um...The Squirrel has that speed and can call for back up....the rat is alot smarter....No offence to all you squirrel lovers :)....Why can't they just be one big happy family?!?!.....(Squirrel)....LOL.
