Who would win a race: sloth or snail?

i would have to say the sloth would win, just because its body size allows it to cover more ground than the tiny snail, though sloths only come out of the trees about once a week to relieve themselves.

snail, note, the sloth= slowest creature in the whole world, its size doesn't matter. the sloth is the only green mammal and thats because its so slow it grows moss. Also the snail isn't that slow.

Can't tell!  The judge would be asleep before either made it to the finish line! Joking aside, the sloth will leave the snail in the dust, with or without steroids. It's stride covers so much more ground than a gastropod though I am sure it would be painful with those long finger nails! They are much more adapted to climbing than walking...
