Who would win a war between Russia and NATO?

Umm, did you know that Russia is a Partner Country of NATO?

You need to look at the Member States, and the Partner Countries, and their proximity to Russia.. yes, Russia has a large military, but they are poorly trained, and have inferior systems.

NATO... except for the Russian Partnership.

Probably, hopefully, please God, Russia will win, since in a war between two kind of equal powers, in which one fights for the survival of its land, while the other is a spoiled society fighting for "leadership", the patriotic power wins.

Why? I mean why Nato and western countries wants the erase Russia from world .. pointless.

Russia one of the biggest country in this world, had so much potential for trade and natural resources .. yes, they act aggressive sometimes but they believe world need more than one superpower ( I agree about it without any doubt ) also russia can be good ally against potential asian opposites ( china and allies )

A open war nato between russia will be turn to massacre about russians .. a conventional war can't be won by russians, they loose 90/1 against nato forces. Russia has too much firepower but they have analog - old technology, they had gut but nato has 3th generation digital warfare .. sorry to said that but russia can't win this war under any circumstance.

Other hands no one ( inc.idiot's ) want this .. because we talking about millions, civilians,soldiers even pet's .. this kind of huge war kills millions .. with or without technology. No one need that kind of label top of his had like "cold blood killer who kill millions" or something.

they keep the tension up for different reasons but it's never turns to "open war" because no one can't win at this kind of war.

An interesting scenario, but we need more information. I'm assuming no use of nuclear weapons.

1) Russian Incursion into European territory. Possible rerun of Blitzkrieg in WWII, with evacuation of Nato forces to the UK, eventually resulting in American-led recapture of mainland Europe.

2) Nato incursion in Russian Territory would result in superior weaponry annihilating them, much like both Gulf Wars. Russian retreat into hinterland to regroup and rearm would not be effective, due to long-range bombers being able to reach them. This situation assumes that Nato forces are victorious quickly, before the onset of winter.

Both have nuclear powers so this would probably end in worlds ending. Especially that its progressed at 2012.. NATO is bigger people/money wise, but Russia is capable of everything and has huge powers.
