We know that these two are currently the most dominant wrestlers in their respective categories today... But, who would win in this big fight?

BJ Penn wants to fight GSP... We also expect that this battle happen soon... Do you agree?

  1. B.J. is serious now. I really like GSP, but I stand by my opinion that Penn is the best P4P fighter in the world...Penn by decision.

  2. I am going with Penn on this one. Yes he is a light weight but he has fought Machida in a no weight class fight and loss a decision and also fought Rodrigo Gracie at 185 and won. Randy Couture had a hard time taking Penn down and said even when he did take him down it was IMPOSSIBLE to hold him down.

  3. Since I'm a fan I'll go with BJ Penn.

    Best wishes :)***

  4. gsp would proably win in similar fashion as last time, he would win the first 2 rounds, barley do anything to win the 3 and stall out the last 2, keeping it on the feet and using his reach,

thats my guess of how it will go down, but i can be wrong like i usually am,

gsp has the stand up edge, and i think he could out wrestle penn, however penn gets the jj edge, it would be a fun fight but i  dont think it would have a clear cut winner

  5. BJ Penn. Without question. Since the Pulver fight, we have seen a completely rededicated Penn. His conditioning has always been the only thing that can be said negatively about him, and since the Pulver fight, his conditioning has been superb.

In my mind, BJ Penn is P4P the best fighter in the world.

He completely outclasses GSP in BJJ and stand up. GSP has better wrestling, but you have to be careful what you wish for. Taking BJ down is a dangerous proposition.

BJ is on a mission to avenge his previous losses. GSP should be afraid, very afraid.

  6. Penn would be all over him & finish the fight without a sweat!

  7. if bj is tip top shape and in good cardio at 170, i give it to him.

  8. defiantly GSP, Ju Jitsu slight edge to BJ, Wrestling heavily to GSP as well as stand up, Bj wont be able to apply submissions while he`s getting out wrestled.

the fight is supposed to happen in late december in the welterweight division.

  9. bj will kill him

  10.       Hard choice. BJ Penn, has one two titles in two different weight classes. And since we all saw GSP fight in UFC 87 against Jon Fitch, GSP put on a great fight 5mins for 5rounds. Of course GSP won. But Penn and GSP got in the cage, Penn is know that he likes to end it quickly so we will see how it turns out. I think we will see a very exciting fight. It could be short and sweet or long to the ground and pound.

  11. bouth outstanding athletes. i favor GSP in this case.

  12. GSP would win this by Unanimous decision, and I will tell you why.

This guy is probably one of the greatest athletes not only in the sport but alive today. He's great all around, but I think he will keep this fight standing, and he will take advantage of his stand up and get some nice kicks in.

  13. Georges "Rush" St-Pierre would make BJ Penn look like a punk!!!!

  14. The guy who kicked the ref in the face

  15. I say BJ will take this fight. The last time they fought GSP won a very very close split decision in which I thought BJ did the most damage.  In the last fight BJ did the most damage on standup but GSP edge him out with the takedowns.

BJ seems anxious to take this fight which means trouble for GSP. Considering the fact that he fought Lyoto Machida, BJ seems to get bored easy with letting weight classes dictate his opponents so an anxious BJ is a dangerous BJ!!

GSP is the most athletic fighter in MMA no doubt but I think his weakness is mental perseverance.

I can't wait to see the odds on this fight!
