  1. lennox lewis, for sure. ali beat frazier and i feel that lewis would be on a par with ali.

  2. Interesting fight sir.  Joe Frazier was as tough a fighter that has ever lived and well known for giving Muhammad Ali his first career loss and giving great accounts of himself in the other two.  Of course Joe was a pressure fighter that only knew one way and that was forward.  He would bob, weave, slip, always looking to land that meat cleaver left hook of his.  Lewis is more of a standup fighter that uses his jab effectively.  His one weakness in his career is he could get somewhat lackadaisial in fights and did not have a great chin.  I look at it like this, if Joe could fight great against a much better and tougher Muhammad Ali, he would be able to beat Lewis.  Joe would apply the pressure against Lewis and have him on the ropes time and time again.  Lewis has never fought anyone in his career like Joe including Holyfield or Tyson.  Lewis would box Joe at long range and do well but Joe would keep pressing the action and land some of those hooks against the retreating Lewis.  Finally in round 10 Joe would connect much like he did against Ali in their first fight and send Lewis to the canvas.  Unlike Ali, Lewis would not beat the count.

  3. I would say Joe Frazier.

  4. Frazier.

  5. Love Smokin Joe, but I think Lennox is to tall and strong.  Plus he would have a tremendous reach advantage.  I don't think Joe would be able to get close enough to him to do any damage.

  6. How can you say 5ft 11 frazier could beat 6ft 5 Lewis? We have all seen what happened when frazier tried to go toe to toe with another big heavyweight, foreman. Frazier got butchered, and lennox would do the same.

  7. Lewis would win but it would be a great fight to watch. Frazier had the tenacity of a pit bull, but eventually Lewis would wear him down with his reach benefit and smart jab. Good question, I wish there were more fighters today like these blokes!

  8. Joe Frazier is da man.

  9. Thumbs up to toughguy! Great points

Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman both have KO victories over Lennox. Neither of them will ever be considered in Frazier's league. Lennox was big, but didn't have the raw power of Foreman. Frazier wasn't tall, he was a shade under 6ft. Same as Tyson. Tyson lost to Lewis but Tyson was a myth, Frazier was a true champion.

I think if Lewis kept his jab in Fraziers face and fought a perfect fight, he might win in a 12 rounder. I did say might! If Frazier lands a big left hook, which is the perfect counter to a left jab, Frazier would KO him. Faster than you can say Oliver McCall!

I'd definitely give Joe the edge in a 15 rounder

  10. In my humble opinion....Lennox would win, but would not be an easy fight.....

  11. Joe Frazier just

  12. Lennox is just so much BIGGER than Frazier so my head tells me Lennox but my heart says Frazier and you gotta follow your heart.  Whoever says Lewis beats Ali in his prime is CRAZY!!

  13. Lewis had a suspect chin his entire career, one left hook from Smokin' Joe and Lennox would have been out cold. If someone like Hasim Rahman KO'd Lewis then I'm sure Smokin' Joe would have.

  14. Down Goes Frazier!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Frazier by KO.

  16. It seems easy to just pick Lennox based on his size, but I remember Holyfield being undersized against Lewis, he didn't win, but he defniately wasn't overwhelmed, and Frazier had a great chin, even though Foreman knocked him all over the ring, he bounced up each time - Lennox doesn't throw a lot of punches, and Frazier's constant body movement would make Lewis even less busy.

I think Frazier's workrate would give Lennox a lot of trouble - he never had great stamina, and you have to figure if a couple of those left hooks found their mark late in the fight he could put Lennox on his back.

I'd pick Frazier by late round KO, or his busy style taking a decision.
