Who would win if a polar bear and a brown bear had a fight?

It depends on what kind of brown bear your talking about.  If its say the kodiac brown bear and a polar bear than your looking at a pretty even match with bears that both get up to around 1,500 lbs.  The largest kodiac bear was in a zoo and was named Goliath and he weighed 2,000 lbs.  At that point your looking at a match that would probably be decided by environmental and outside factors and while its generally known that polar bears are the largest bears, those kodiacs are only behind by a couple lbs behind and are decidedly in the same weight class so it would not be an easy victory for a polar bear and in all likliehood the kodiac has just as much of an equal chance of winning.

if the fight was held at the north pole, the polar bear would win, has the brown grizzly bear wouldn't be use to the weather, and the polar bear could hide, but if it was held in the grizzly bears natural habitat, than the grizzly would win, has the polar bear wouldn't be use to it

it depends on the environment they're fighting in.  but I think th polar bear would win either way =)
