Who would win in a duel between Neji and Gaara?

I think they are pretty evenly matched. Who do you think would come out on top?

hmm... well gaara DOES have a tailed beast (shukaku) in him. it's very powerful and it does defend him so it would be very hard for neji to even hit him with an attack. but neji does have byakugan, the bloodline which would make him even stronger.

but i think gaara would win, besides he's the current kazekage of sunagakure

Hmmmmmm..........i think Gaara, because Gaara has sand, and noone can defeat the sand, well some ppl can like akatsuki, or maybe sasuke, but Neji would never beat him.

probably gaara since he gets defended by sand without doing anything,,,

It would be highly probable for Gaara to crush Neji.  Neji is a close combat fighter.  It's similar to Neji's fight versus the spider guy from the Sound five who uses bows Gaara uses sand at a distance.  

As long as Gaara can fend off Neji in a distance (most of the time Gaara does exactly this from all of his combats), Neji would have close to no chance versus Gaara.  Not to mention that Gaara's got Shukaku on his side and remember when Shukaku was taking form?

It knocked out both Sasuke and Sakura....very very deadly!

I say Gaara.

Because both have fought Naruto, right. And Naruto seemed to have beaten Neji fairly easily but Gaara seemed more of a challenge for him (but obviously not tha much of a challenge)

And anyway, Gaara has that sand demon inside him and what does Neji have? A byakugan and a REALLY bad grudge and attitude problem.

So yeah, I would put my money on Gaara =]

gaara will win this duel with a large margin cause neji is a close combat type where as gaara is long to mid range combat type ninja and also possess the ultimate sand defence.

i think neji will win his byakugan give him an almost a 360 degree of vision  and see the flow of chakra, and his 64 palms when hit can stop, alter, weaken, or reverse the flow of chakra, and his rotation can stop gaara's sand from touching him
