  1. That would have been an awesome fight.  Great question and a tough one to call.  Both men are now beginning to be underrated due to revisionist historians who are judging these great boxers based on their less-than-stellar end of career performances.

A prime Riddick Bowe beat a prime undefeated Evander Holyfield in one of the most action filled heavyweight fights that went the full 12 round distance.  Bowe would have had both reach and weight advantages over Tyson.

A prime Tyson would have far more speed and skills (and maybe a slight power edge), though not the resilience of prime Bowe (a young Tyson was not able to stop a rather mediocre James "Quick" Tillis nor James "Bonecrusher" Smith - Tyson seems to fade and coast in those fights instead of going for the finish).

Tyson would land some hellacious bodyshots early, but Bowe would take the punishment and gradually slow Tyson down with strong jabs and occasional power rights.  Around the 7th round, seeing that he is not going to stop the larger man, Tyson would begin holding and waiting (and maybe throwing an occassional low-ish blow).  However, Bowe does not give up on winning as he continues to fight his heart out as he had in his fights with Evander.  In the championship rounds, Bowe would be nearly even with Tyson on the scorecards but puts the final exclamation mark with a vicious knockdown in the final frame.  This prime Tyson does get up, much like he did initially against Buster Douglas.  However, this time, Tyson does hold on to lose an unianimous decision unlike in the Douglas fight when he was certainly NOT in his prime condition.

    I say Bowe UD12 Tyson.

  2. Tyson

  3. Tyson would have laid Bowe right out,I was never a fan of Bowe but in his day Mike would have had rid of him with a similar wack to what  Holyfield dealt him,ko round 8!

  4. A focused Bowe would beat Tyson much worse than Douglas did.

  5. Mike Tyson would win. They faced each other before and Mike Tyson knocked him out back then cannot remember what year but he did knock out Riddick Bowe.

  6. i can still see a sub par holyfield flooring bowe with one single left hook, so i gotta go with tyson here by stoppage in 10 rounds.

  7. riddick Bowe was a complex individual sometimes he had the heart of a lion and sometimes he had the heart of rabbit, a prime Tyson would have beaten Bowe, Tyson was much faster and had a lot more head movement and that was always a problem with Bowe(remember buster mathis?),moreover Bowe often got frustrated in fights and made mistakes once he got pushed to the edge and Tyson in his prime was a very frustrating fighter to deal with and let us not forget that Bowe was a fighter who got intimidated by hard hitting punchers (remember the lennox incident?) and fear was one of Tyson's greatest allies in the ring and this would have been evident against bowe.....these two fighters are very different,in his prime Tyson was the most dominant heavyweight there was, whereas Bowe was a very good boxer who spent a great deal of his career dodging lennox lewis.

  8. oh tough qeuestion!!!! i'd have to say mike tyson, both great fighters but mike tyson's such a sycho that he would go crazy and probably win. great question though!!

  9. Mike Tyson

  10. Bowe would slap Tyson's little monkey azz all over the ring.

  11. Mike Tyson hands down. He is the greatest knockout puncher of all time. Riddick Bowe wouldn't last the first round. Mike had 19 first round knock outs at his prime.

  12. Obviousky Mike Tyson

    He well gooood!!!

    He's crazy!!

  13. Riddick Bowe

  14. TYSON! Tottaly!!
