Who would win in a fight? Mike Tyson or a nine-year-old with black belts in several martial-art disciplines?

A nine year old kid doesn't have the physical or mental tools to beat an adult. A child fighting a man isn't a fight.

That wouldn't happen, it's against regulations, and that much awesomeness can't be contained in one ring. It's like putting Mr.T and Chuck Norris in a room- the universe explodes.

This is one of the legitimate arguments against giving a nine or ten year old a black-belt in some traditional styles.  Years ago you were not awarded your black belt until your mid teens but much has changed since then.  That coupled with the fact that culturally things are much different here and now I think dictates you have to give a child perhaps a junior black belt who shows skill, knowledge, ability, and maturity beyond those of his or her peers.  At the same time I don't think that necessarily translates to being able to beat up an adult in a fight.  I would also add that once those youngsters grow into their teens they have awesome abilities and skill.  Check out Jennifer Santiago who I can remember competing on the NASKA national circuit when she was ten years old and a black belt and her fighting abilities now in the World Combat League.  Her being promoted to the rank of black-belt or junior black-belt has not seemed to hamper her progress at all but instead only enhanced it I think.
