  1. Oscar by knockout.

  2. Oscar De La Hoya would most likely knock out Manny Pacquiao.  The reason is fairly simple- he is just too big; it would be similar to when Oscar got knocked out by Bernard Hopkins.  Some people make it seem like Pacquiao is invincible, but he's shown vulnerability in a few of his fights and he almost lost his last fight to a fellow 130 pounder in Juan Manuel Marquez.  He also lost his first fight with Erik Morales because Morales was able to put pressure on him and back him into the ropes.  If Morales backed him up at 130, think of what De La Hoya would do at 147.  De La Hoya at 147 is simply way too big for Pacman to deal with, and I'm a big Pacquiao fan, but I'm just telling it like it is.  Some people point out that Oscar turned pro at 130, but what they forget is that Pacman turned pro at 106!  I think that it would be a one-sided knockout for Oscar, but I wouldn't be surprised if this fight happens because of the amount of interest and money that it can generate.  Plus, it will give Oscar a big victory to retire off of, even if it is against an overmatched opponent.

  3. manny

  4. De La Hoya would win. Way to big a size difference for Pac to make up in talent.

  5. Oscar De La Hoya is naturally the bigger man and has every advantage against Pacquiao in terms of Power, reach, height, etc.. plus, Pacquiao fights as a Junior Lightweight (around 130-135 lbs) while Golden boy is a Junior Middleweight (around 154-160 lbs)

it is like if someone small like Jorge Arce (115 lbs), went up to weight to challenge Pacquiao.. it is just too much weight difference.

  6. Do you mean now?  If so, I'd go with the Pac-man.  Sad to say, ODLH is 35 and definitely slowing down.  He should retire from action, continue as promoter and keep putting an upbeat friendly likeable face on the sport.  Now what are the chances of him taking this advice?

  7. Oscar would be to big and strong for pac man.

  8. Bob Arum.

Oscar is bigger and he can beat Pacquiao by simply doing a Klitschko (Wladimir that is).  He may be bigger but Manny's got a good, if not a great chin.  Manny will end up getting pummeled though.

Manny is faster which means he can easily get inside Oscar's defense. Roach is a great coach and might be able to give Manny the advantage that he needs.  That is if Roach sides with Manny since he has been a trainer of Oscar.  With Manny's speed, he can punish Oscar to some degree.

Oscar will be promoting the show of course so he will rake in a lot of money but he has to put his career on the line and his 35+ year old body.  Pacquiao would also rake in a lot of money but he would be in for a beating.  Bob Arum? He'll just wait to cash that cheque. :D

  9. Pacquiao would kick Oscars butt.

  10. Golden boy is too big for Pacman no doubt about that. But pound for pound, Pacman is the best fighter there is right now. Just incase the two fights i'll still put my money on Pacquiao. After all he's not going to be called "Mexicutioner" for nothing. Ask Morales, Barrera and JM Marquez. Watch out Dela Hoya, you're a Mexican for sure you are in the Mexicutioner's list.

  11. This would not be a fight. This would be an execution carried out by the orders of promotion, with Oscar being its executioner. Even at 35 years of age, Oscar De La Hoya is too big for the much naturally smaller Manny Pacquiao. We all know that Pacquiao can be knocked out, since he has had it happened to him twice. Even Marquez managed to rock Pacquiao. Pacquiao's fighting style would be a huge mistake against any fighter who is bigger and stronger than him. Oscar's power is still a threat and if Marquez could wobble Pacquiao, just imagine what a much bigger and stronger De La Hoya would do.

  12. De La Hoya hands down!
