  1. Polar bears are bigger overall. But the biggest Grizzly's are the same size. Who is stronger and would win in a fight?

I'd pick the Grizzly because of the strong big builded neck that the Polar bear lacks. He wouldn't be able to try and break his neck. And Grizzly's have bigger claws that can kill some animals with 1 blow if it sweeps with it.

  2. This I got from a site, but it has most of the comparisons in it.

Polar bears are generally larger than grizzly bears and are said to take off a human head with one swipe. Polar bears fight other polar bears more often than Brown bears fight other brown bears. If the grizzly and polar bears were of the same size, the grizzly bear would probably be stronger, as it is more robustly built, with enormous bone and muscle density. It has powerful arm muscles and a massive hump of muscle on its back that empowers the upper body with massive strength. The grizzly has a shorter, thicker neck, heavily built skull and more powerful shoulder structure than the polar bear. Its huge 6-9 inch long claws can open a carcass; the claws of the polar bear are 2 inches long. Grizzly bears have been known to fight off polar bears from their feeding areas. The grizzly bear has more power to strike a blow. The polar bear overheats extremely quickly and would find it difficult to fight for a long time.

My prediction: the grizzly bear would usually win, but the polar bear would have the advantage in an Arctic environment, unless the fight took a lot of time - then the grizzly bear would have the advantage.

  3. Other than color, they're pretty much the same.

  4. I would win. I'd send in a left hook and then a jab to the ribs to both and they'd be extinct.

Probably polar bear because it has a thick layer of fat underneath its skin and grizzlys don't have this.

  5. I personally would think the polar bear. Unlike the grizzly, the polar bear is a full time carnivore. It  has to catch seals, and  sometimes may attempt to attack walruses. The bear requires lots of strength to kill the seal, haul it out of the water and eat it. In the Arctic, there is hardly any plants with berries to eat, and it's to cold for bees to live there and make honey. The polor  bears' only option is to become strictly carnivorous. Grizzlies aren't exactly built as much for hunting as the polar bear is. In fact, grizzly bears would most likely prefer a nice herbivorous meal of berries and honey than a deer or a buffalo. Also polar bears  are quite a bit larger than grizzlies.

Although as a full time animal lover, I wouldn't like any animals getting into a fight. Especially since they are from different regions, and wouldn't ever encounter each other in the wild.
