Who would win in a fight. neanderthal or homo habilus?

  1. For sheer strength, I'd have to bet on Homo hablis...Neanderthal men and women combined, only averaged 5'3" in height...The further back you go evolutionarily, generally, the stronger the monkey...Many chimpanzees are stronger than humans!

    The Neanderthal however, could have been smart enough to cheat, and bring a weapon into the match, such as a stone...To clobber hablis over the head with, at close quarters!

    Also, it would have to depend on what they were fighting over; women, territory or food...Mr. Neanderthal might know when to run!


  2. Neandertals were much more robust (and taller) than Homo habilis.  Homo habilis is actually a fairly small, gracile species.  Also, Neandertals had MUCH larger brains, which would give them a clear advantage as far as strategic planning and surprise attacks.

    Homo habilis was pretty freakin' cool, but they were also fairly wimpy.

    (Note:  H. habilis and Neandertals did NOT live in the same place or at the same time, so this is all theoretical.)
