The venue really matters though... In a MMA style match on solid ground Slice and Shamrock would destroy Brashear or Hatcher, neither NHLer is training in Martial Arts, they are boxers at best, at worst they are punchers. On Ice obviously the NHLers win, my god would I love to see Kimbo Slice on skates.

As far as Gill v. Ovie, I'd tend to go with Gill based on strength and reach. But I wouldn't sleep on Ovie, he's got too much energy.

All the MMA guys have to do is drag the hockey player to the ice and then pummell him. As much as we like our hockey fighters, they are no match for the MMA guys. What does Slice weigh? 240? And all he does is train to fight, with no real rules? He drags Brasher down, knees him several times and then beats him into submission.
