okay sorry I wasn't being very specific. this big guy is really about 250lbs. he is a plump man muscular but slow not really slow though. he benches 295lbs. He hasn't really fought anyone, but knows fundamentals such as how to punch and block, his forearms cover his big chest when he blocks. He is also pretty tough but not as experienced as me in street fighting. (Me)the little guy is about 5'11" about 15in arms (around) and can bench only 150 like 2 times I know I'm weak in that area you don't have to tell me lol. but in every other machine or exercise in can do about 130-200% of my body weight. I have weak triceps but am very strong in everything else. I am also well versed in tai kwon do, grappling, and kick/regular boxing. I am also very wirey and punch extremely fast. I have also been in many fights and so far even getting the c**p kicked out of me with bats I've gotten up and still fought. How are my chances and would I be ready for this fight in 2 months?? -thank you

  1. you may have a chance, but just in case bring a blunt weapon.

  2. First I would say don’t fight and here’s why.

Is this a street fight? Just stay away from this person no one wins a street fight. That’s all together different than a self defense situation this is an agreement between two people to fight and can be avoided by just not showing up or avoiding this person.

If this is a sanctioned fight well that’s why they have weight classes, you have some advantages but this guy is a lot bigger then you. It would not take much to find yourself in a bad situation. This fight would have rules unlike self defense, no rules you can and should get dirty when defending yourself but forced to stay with in the rule set you would have a hard time defeating this guy.

  3. You lie.  Train a lifetime, and you will be ready for death.

  4. Get em troll lol.

  5. well if it was me there would have to be a pretty good reason for me to fight him. i think if you focus in hurting the key points in the body to take down a person. the key is to keep your distance and strike only in the vulnerable palces in the body. You have a pretty good chance but dont get over confident. Remember that the key to taking down a man or a Big man is to hurt him in a way he wont get back up.

  6. well its a win win situation everything depends on timing he could kill you in one punch but then again thats the problem h**l have a hard time landing the punch you coud take him down in 400 punches but the problem there is avoiding one punch long enough to land 400 blows

  7. Those thick arms can't block techniques to the leg.  Use a front or side kick to his knee(s) or low round kick to thigh.

  8. I would put my money on you in a bet - assuming you are being totally honest and you put some smart effort into training.

You have 2 months to train - I would focus on cardio and footwork.  The guy you are talking about sounds big, but it does not seem like he's in great shape.

Be ready to box the guy - keep your distance, cover/defend, and make him move for the first 2 rounds - but make him work.  Use your jabs and 1-2 combos to keep him covering, leg kicks to slow him down and body shots will keep him tense and break up his breathing pattern.  Move a lot and make him chase you some, but when he pulls up to rest kick/punch.  He'll wear down quickly and you can pick him apart.

Work on your wrestling too - sweeps and bringing it back to standing.  Otherwise the guy can lay on you and rest if he gets tired.  You do not want a 250 lb guy on top of you even if he can't do damage.

2 months is plenty of time to train against a known opponent - you'll be fine.
