Who would win this race a kia spectra 07' i4 120 hp or a 1988 chevy silverado v8 240 hp?

my friends bro challenged me to a race. he has a stock kia spectra 2007 running 120 hp. front wheel drive- manual trans. he thinks he will smoke my 1988 chevy silverado 1500. im running a 305 v8 with 240 hp. he thinks ill get him off the line and he will get me in the longrun. but i say he will get me off the line and ill smoke him in the end. he also says my 305 v8 is only running 140 hp. which is bs. i also got a cold air intake on my truck. who would win this race off the line and in the long run?

Probably the truck even in the long run. Even if there are alot of corners and such to take, you've got twice as much HP as him which is a huge advantage.

I would have to go for the Silverado. Even though it is obviously heaver, it's not difficult to beat a Spectra.

well how heavy is ur truck? a lil 305 should still be able to beat a piece-o-tin opps i mean kia. but ya a 305 should put out a round 240 hp. u should smoke him! chevy rules and ford can suck it
