Who would win if Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton had fought at super lightweight (140 pounds)?

Who would win if now Floyd Mayweather fought Miguel Cotto at welterweight?

I like Hatton but Cotto will probably knock him out.  I hope they do fight and Hatton wins.

Cotto- Mayweather.  Mayweather win by late KO or close decision

Cotto would never drop at that weight, thus hatton would have to come up to 147 to face cotto and that weight cotto would knock him out simply because hatton's power would no longer be a factor at that weight and cotto would have all the advantages.

Mayweather vs cotto: despite what a lot of mayweather haters say on this forum, this fight is really not that close, cotto is a good boxer with decent power and okay skills, yes he is the best opponent for mayweather right now but that does not make him the man that will beat floyd, mayweather is faster and a million times smarter than cotto in the ring, the dirty tactics that floyd used against judah would simply make mayweather mad, cotto is slow and quite predictable and not much better than some other guys mayweather has faced,if they faced each other right now, i am pretty sure mayweather would get another easy decision after a rather boring fight in which he would simply pick cotto apart in the last six rounds.

cotto was good but still raw in 2005 with about 20 wins.    hatton was at his best in 2005  hatton no probloms he wins.

im not saying he is washed up cos he  is not still got lots to give as you will see. hatton has never been the best boxer in the world and never will be same goes for cotto. so in 2005 hatton would of beat him. it was the best hatton ive seen he had more figths  he was peeking. cotto at that time was only raw not even close to what you see today he came along a lot slower hatton top rank did not push him to hard.

hatton is  44-1-31 ....29years old  

at around that time floyd beat gatti then a month later beat hatton stopped   tzsyzu.

hatton was streets a head of cotto in 2005. ricky beat the  worlds number -1-  JR welterweights  who was 2nd in the  pound 4 pound rankings. ricky beats cotto in 2005 top rank would not of put there man in with ricky at that time as he was streets ahead of cotto. im not sure if pinto gave up after the cotto fight?? i think he mite of had one?? i no pinto beat cotto they in there teens. cotto a good strong fighter top rank did a good job in taking there time with cotto look at him now! you just have to look at jeff lacy by jumping in to fast.  

so at the same time you have gatti and who took a big beating of floyd at that same time . i think floyd beat them all in 2005        if your a cotto fan from 2004 you will no im rite not if  joined the fan club in 2007 then you will think im mad.
