Julian G: Zanardi was one I forgot when I spoke of pleasant drivers. Autographed some pictures for me at Donington in 1995 when he seemingly had very little on the horizon. He didn't draw any crowds in those days.

  1. What about Tom Pryce. He was another who never really got a chance due to blind loyalty to Shadow.

Also Ivan Capelli and Pierluigi Martini deserve a mention.

  2. YOU CAN'T FORGET THE ALMIGHTY HAMILTON HE IS THE BEST NEWCOMER BY FAR

  3. What about Sir Stirling Moss?

Oooo sorry you meant wins, i thought championship. silly me!

I need to read the question carefully! (:

  4. 1. Martin Brundle, never had a car worthy, Benetton dropping him for Paterse always miffs me.

    2. Chris Amon, more talented than a few champions, kept choosing the right team, but at the wrong time!

    3. Alex Zanardi, phenomenal man, never quite got it right in F1.

Your Jarier comment in my Q is also a very good shout.
