  1. Depends if LT is left. lol

I'd take Brian Westbrook over Adrian Peterson and Steven Jackson because he is an offensive threat in all aspects. He is one of the most dominating runners in the game today and is better at catching the ball than most wide receivers.

He'll blow past you, as will AP and S-Jax, but he blows past you in more ways than one. Yes, AP and S-Jax get the ball thrown to them, but not half as many times as B-West does.

  2. If you get PPR, I'd go with Westbrook. If not, AP

  3. Adrian Peterson is my pick from that group.  All three of them are elite RBs and stand a very good chance of finishing in the top 5.  But Peterson is the most likely to have an enormous year and carry your team to the playoffs.  But you really can't go wrong with any of them.

  4. Peterson.  good off-line second year player.  don't see a sophmore slump in this guy.

  5. Steven Jackson.  He was a tough choice over Westbrook.  Both Westbrook and Peterson aren't durable.  Peterson has been injured every year since high school.  He's not very dependable that way.  When he's on the field, he's great, but can he stay healthy for an entire season?  Jackson provides both receiving and rushing yards and is very consistent.

  6. AP!

  7. AP=AD

  8. Adrian Peterson

  9. DAM , where is Mr TOMLINSON???? i am shocked that this question doesnt include the best running back over the last 5 years ....... lets face Mr T   had some challenges last year , but remember when Rivers got it together because of Mr T  speaking up they looked pretty dam good, AND DONT THINK FOR A SECOND , them few injures Mr T  had  , didnt get him to even a more intense workout to avoid these injures again.........................just so you know i carry a TERRIBLE TOWEL  in my back pocket where ever i go!!! so i am not a charger fan . I  just pay attention to the facts!!!  Now to answer your question i am going with the youth in this question , Adam Peterson is REAL !!!  and so is his front line  !!!  a few words on the others -- Westbrook is consistant  and will produce if you get him the ball.  Jackson is a very good back but his team is guna be in  a rebuilding mode i believe and wont have the ball enough to get Jackson to compete with the other two. Adam is my man in this question... little tip watch McFadden with OAKLAND ,  there a lineman and wide reciever away from a 10-6 year. YOU HEARD IT HERE ON YAHOOOOO!!!!

  10. In all honesty, you can't go wrong with any of these players. They are all considered TOP 5 running back material. Having said that, it will probably come down to your league scoring format and other factors.

A great number of people are predicting that Peterson will have a better season than the one he had in 2007. While I do think he will have a good year, I can't see him blowing away the competition as everyone suggests. For starters, there was very little NFL film on Peterson last year so no one expected him to do what he did. But you have to remember that this is the NFL and coaches SPECIALIZE in figuring out how to shut people down. With the lack of a true passing game, teams will almost certainly stack the line of scrimmage this year to prevent Peterson from beating them. (Tomlinson had a great season in 2006 but teams began forcing Rivers to beat them in 2007). If T. Jackson can't get the passing game going this year, Peterson will not produce the insane numbers everyone predicts. I don't care who you are, 12 men in the box will prevent you from ripping off 200 yards a game. He will not be sneaking up on teams this year!

Brian Westbrook is the greatest injury risk of the 3, but can really generate a ton of points especially in PPR leagues. McNabb tends to rely on Westbrook as a wide receiver making him a dual threat. Westbrook is the oldest of the bunch and the Eagles had offensive line issues at the beginning of the year. The question is: can he stay healthy? The fact that he garners as many yards through the air as he does on the ground makes him worth the risk.

Steven Jackson was injured last year and the offensive line was as well. Going into the season, he was expected to challenge Tomlinson for best running back honors. Without a healthy line, Jackson wasn't able to meet those standards (he still managed 1002 yards on the ground, 38 catches and 271 yards through the air!). He is in a contract year and seems to be fully recovered from last season's injury. He is just as nifty as Westbrook (runner/receiver) only bigger. He has power, experience, and plays in a division that is not known for its defensive prowress. I think he will finish near the top this season if he stays healthy. With a respected passing game (Bulger/Holt/McMichael), teams cannot stack 12 in the box. This should open up lanes for Jackson.

Based on experience, schedule (division), and ability, I give Jackson the slight edge over Peterson.

  11. That is a very tough decision between Westbrook and Peterson. Peterson is a probably has more potential (last year mid-way through the season he was on pace for 2,000 yards). Westbrook on the other hand is a steady rb who is one of the best recieving backs and puts up great numbers recieving. The problem with both backs is they are consistantley injured due to their styles of play. Westbrook is a bit undersized and is rarely practices during the week because of injuries and is always listed as a game-time decision on Sundays. AD on the other hand has the risk of suffering a major injury. The man doesn't shy away from any contact. Overall I would select Westbrook because he plays on an offence that is not as one dimensional as the much malign Vikings offence.Good Luck

  12. Adrian Peterson. He has the best OL  in the league blocking for him. he is projected at least 1450+ yards this year. The head coach of MN finally realized that Peterson can go far with the ball when ever he carries it.

  13. I would draft Brian Westbrook before AP and Stephen Jackson. AP had a great season last year but it is still unknown if he can repeat that. Jackson is another solid pick but The Ram's Offensive line just bothers me too much to choose him. Westbrook is a runnign threat and catching threat. The Eagles O-line is solid and McNabb should have a better season, which will give Brian better chances for the big run or Catch.

  14. I would try to draft Adrian Peterson over the others.

  15. Out of those three Brian Westbrook as he gets yards recieveing and running. Peterson has to compete with chester taylor and jackson wasn't great last season, obv because of injury but still doesnt play for the greatest team. I'd still choose LT over all of them tho.

  16. AP

  17. I would draft Adrian Peterson because he has a ton of potential and could rush for over 1500 yards at his best in a season

  18. Glad to see at least one person picked S.Jax.  I wrote a whole page on why to pick him last night so I won't go into details but you should get him.  AP will platoon among other probs. w/ him.
