Question:

Who would you drop?

I'm in a pool with no benches, simply a lineup, a rotation and two closers. We're not really fantasy diehards, which is probably why a situation like this has come up.

At the moment, my three outfielders are Lance Berkman, Bobby Abreu and Carl Crawford. Someone dropped Vlad a few weeks ago when he was struggling and he's still available. Would you drop Abreu or Crawford in favour of Vlad?

Also... Pujols will be back from his injury shortly... in his absence, I got Ryan Howard, and now have Pujols on the DL, Howard at 1B and Derrek Lee as my utility man. Once Pujols is back, who would you drop?

  1. i would drop Abreau.  Crawford still gives you SBs and solid at bats.  Getting Vlad will only help your team out more as he's on point right now...i wish someone would drop him in my league.  I'd be all over that one.

  2. For sure drop Abreu, you can always count on Crawford to help your team and rarely hurts it.  Also, wait till Pujols comes back to see who is playing better between Lee and Howard.

  3. Definately drop Abreau!!

That is going to be a tuff choice when Pujols comes back.  Try and trade Howard or Lee for another position that you are week at. Then try and drop somebody else.  Its hard to say who else to drop without knowing who is on your team.

  4. I would def drop Abreu for Vlad, he is back to his old ways of hitting anything thrown at him.  Abreu hasnt been the same explosive player since he won that All Star homerun derby a few years ago and his stats can be easily matched by about 25 other OF's.

As for the Pujols situation, i would try and trade Howard in an attempt to upgrade elsewhere.  His HR's are nice but his .215 average is killer.  Pujols and Lee will match his power and their BA's will be about 75 points higher.
