I will be pulling for Miguel Cotto and I think he will win fairly easily over Gomez. I want Cotto to win, because it would put him that much closer to a potential mega showdown with Floyd Mayweather, assume Floyd doesn't decide unneccesarily run and retire.

Cotto should win but I look for Gomez to be the only "Contender" fighter who doesn't fold over in big fights. The guy has all heart and I respect that about him. Cotto will break a sweat. I love the 147 pound guys. It is so competitive.

Cotto will beat Gomez based on punching power advantage and just overall better boxing skills, and the fact that he has been in with judah, mosley, and just much much better competition will give him the advantage...

but I wouldnt hate it if Gomez won the fight...it would be cool to see things get mixed up a little bit...i love to see upsets

All signs point toward a Cotto victory, Gomez is in for a tough night.  That being said I love going for the underdog, and I'm kinda hoping Gomez can find a way to win this.

My real prediction Cotto KO 7th round, with Gomez being a bloody mess, possibly a broken rib.

Cotto is the better fighter of the two skill wise although Gomez is tough with a lot of heart.  Cotto should beat him probably in 8-9 rounds although I wouldn't mind if Gomez pulled the upset.

If Gomez can box and move 100%, he can pull this on a decision. Cotto win this fight. This will not improve Cotto. If he wants to improve, he needs to fight other guy's. Clottey is calling him out.
