Who would you let babysit?

1.Girl,age 15. Punk rocker is good with kids and can cook.Knows first aid and CPR.

2. Girl, age 15, very clean cut and preppy, is ok with kids, Cant cook and has no first aid or CPR training.

So who would you let babysit for you?

I wouldn't be worried about her image.  I'd choose the one with more experience.  Also, if the first girl knows CPR, First Aid, and how to cook, why would you even worry about choosing based upon their image?  Unless the "punk rocker" has some demon inside her, or has a record at the age of 15, then I'd go with her.  That choice should be obvious! :D

Number 1. Experience is everything, and I know from experience CPR is a must with kids. My child chokes on EVERYTHING!

The punk rocker. I do not judge by her outward appearence, but by her skill and dedication as a provider of child-care. If she is good with the kids, and knows how to keep them safe, what's more to ask?

Definitely girl 1. She is good with kids, can cook... (let's say I have to go to a meeting and I'll be home late.. so I need the kids to be given dinner), and if any of my children are hurt, I know girl 1 will be able to help. She also knows CPR, so that's a plus. :)

Number one probably. I would go which ever one is better with kids. I dont care what qualifications they have nor what they dress like , as long as they take care of my baby.

The punk rocker.  I'm a high school teacher, so I learned pretty quickly you can't judge teenagers by their appearance.  

On the other hand, you didn't mention other things I would need to know to make serious decision about it in real life.

i would choose #1. a punk rocker is a person just like the clean preppy girl. i would want what is best for my kids and i know that if something happens where they would need CPR, the punk rocker can save my childs life.

neither-i never leave my kids with anyone other than my parents, their certified daycare provider(CPR, first aid, and a degree in early childhood developement), my husband, and myself-nobody else. kids are too precious!!

either. but i'd expect both to dress appropriotly and to be respectful. if the punk rocker scares my children or gives me a false impression, i'd go with the other one. you choose how to dress appropriotly in front of an adult. make god choices. make yourself look good in front of an adult.

The rocker, I have nothing against that image and if she knows what she is doing and is responsible then it shouldn't be a problem.

Just cause you give off a crisp clean image does not mean you are the right person for the job.

I'm a mom of 3 kids ages 7,4, and 3 and I say #1.  I never judge a book by it's cover.  Besides I like punk rockers!
