Who would you make captain?

Is it time Michael Vaughn stepped down as England captain? As much as he is a very good cricket brain, I think he needs to concentrate on his game. But who would replace him?

This in my opinion is a problem that English cricket has had for a long time.  There is no tenure for the captains and there is no sucession plan.  Example is the Aussies, Ponting is the captain but they are already grooming Michael Clarke to take over the reins when Punter calls time.  English cricket select the captain basically as an after thought and at any one stage the team may include two or three ex-captains.  No way to run an international cricket team IMO.

Now that the top cricketers are all getting very rich these days and likely to get a lot richer in the future, I don't think any of them are giving one hundred percent.

It's getting difficult to pick a team - never mind a captain !

Things seem as if they can only get worse in the future.

Another 'sport' that money and business are slowly killing off.

is there anyone you'd make captain... i always prefer a bowler to be captain.. a batsman needs to concentrate on his batting and not have other things to worry about.. vaughan's form is worrying, he's a fine player but of late his scoring hasn't been up to scratch... let see how this summer plays out, then i think there will be changes if it all gots t*ts -up.

I feel Andrew Flintoff or Kevin Pietersen are better choices for Captaincy.
