  1. I agree with you 100%! I am also a Vikings fan and I've thought about if I had the #1 pick. AP is so tempting but I think I would go with LT. Adrian had a great year last year and he could again but LT is just so consistent. Now if you are in a "keeper" league then go with AP! He has many more years in front of him where LT's career is in its twilight. But yeah tough decision there.

  2. I have said this all those years. You just need to draft the BEST PLAYER POSSIBLE. It does not necessarily need to be a running back. For instance, I had Tom Brady with two average running back (Earnest Graham and Rudi Johnson/Maroney) and I finished second. If I had one elite running back, I would have won the championship. Since you have the 1st pick, it is difficult to determine who is the best number 1 player for this year.

    1) LT - Pros - look at his stats history Cons - aging and faces injuries problems

    2) Adrian Peterson - Pros - Young and Explosive Cons - second season RB tends to be bust for the year and his injury remains an concern from college which he missed few games last season.

My suggestion is to trade up so you can get additional draft picks or earlier 2nd round pick. You could draft Tom Brady and guaranteed there'll be a great runnning back available to you in second round - Ryan Grant, Marion Barber, Marshawn Lynch - etc. you get the idea.

If that's not the case, then LT it is. You cannot exactly use your first pick on somebody who you only seen for one season. LT has done it for years!

  3. LT!!! seriously dude LT hands down! he's the best HB in the NFL!!!

DON'T PICK FAVRE at any time during the draft!!! He throws too many interceptions and was on the Madden cover!!! don't forget the Madden Curse!!!

  4. Pass on Peterson. Seriously. Tony Richardson is gone and his lead blocking was a big reason why he did so well. Richardson has like 8 or 9 straight years of blocking for 1000+ rushers. Plus he share carries with Chester "the molester" Taylor. He hasnt played a full season since his freshman year of college and tends to wear out at the end of the year - when you need him the most in the playoffs. What good is he if hes nasty all season but injured in the playoffs?

I would also stay away from LT this year. He has a lot of carries under his bealth and like Peterson lost his blocking fb Lorenzo Neal. He finally showed he is starting to wear down and the nicks and nacks are catching up to him. He does have a fairly easy schedule though.

I would probably go with Tom Brady - he had the most fantasy points of any player last year - basically has the same wr corps only loosing Stallworth who didnt have a major impact but also Ben Watson is 100% healthy. The Pats also play the easiest schedule in the league. And even if the Pats have playoffs clinched they still play Brady.

If you dont like Brady you might want to check TO, Randy Moss, or Edwards (he had the 2nd most TDs last year of all wide outs). The gap between these top 3 and everyone else is growing.

Another option would be to grab either LT or Peterson and trade them for someone like Westbrook (who plays in jured and is the focal point of that offense) and you can get more out of the trade too. People will give up a lot for LT or AP and it will help you out where you have weaknesses.

    Hope that helps.

  5. LT or Adrian Petersen

  6. Flip a coin .Tom Brady or Randy Moss.

  7. Gotta go with LT.  He's a points machine in fantasy.  AP is a great pick, but his durability worries me a little.  He seems to get banged up quite a bit and LT has rarely been injured.  Either way, you should be fine.

  8. I would pick LT. Last year AP had a couple of games where he scored under 10 fantasy points. Where as LT was consistent the whole season.

  9. Braylon Edwards. He's going to have a huge year.

  10. Since fantasy is all about picking the best player possible at every draft slot there can be only one choice here....LT!  Understand I am not a fan of LT but I am a fan of winning my fantasy leagues and the numbers add up to LT being the ONLY choice as the 1st overall pick in every format. Love AP and he would be easily the 2nd guy off my draft board but you need to put your personal feelings aside during any fantasy draft. The numbers dont lie....LT is the best fantasy running back out there and there is nothing to suggest he will not continue to do so this year. If you really want AP then maybe you can work out a deal where you get AP and another stud for LT, otherwise put winning in front of team loyalty.

  11. Tom Brady for qb, Ladanian Tomlinson for rb, and Randy Moss for wr. As far as who to pick between these three, I'd take Brady.

  12. idk i would go AP or Brady.... i dont really like LT

  13. You'll have to go with LT, he has proven himself for the past 5 seasons to be a fantasy Juggernaut. Although AP is a tempting option, LT has a higher probability of having a crazy season.

Remember, the guy with the 2nd pick will be chomping at the bit if you were to go with AP over LT. Always select fantasy players with probability rather then your heart.

  14. If you're a Vikings fan, I'd go ahead and pick Adrian Peterson.  He's a beast, he's got a great O-Line, and B. Berrian should be able to use his speed and stretch the defense out a little bit this year.  He'll have a monster year.

  15. Fantasy is a lot more fun when you love your players. Which is why I NEVER draft TO. That guy's a douche.

If you have first overall, see if you can't make a trade for second. If not, just go with AP. LT probably will be a bit better, but honestly, AP leading your squad won't that much of a step down. And if it makes you significantly happier to have him, take him.

  16. Pick LT.

Lie to yourself if you need too.

Maybe you can favorably trade him for AP and someone else if it still bothers you.
