Steven Gerrard because he can be good at midfield like barry well he is. But the reason is because he is passionate, repent (avoid) from dissent to referees most of the time. But surprisingly I am a Chelsea fan. JT has been captain for some time so he should give it to other people like Stevie as he is currently vice-captain. Rio missed a drug test so I don't know why he should be captain but he could change as we saw when Cappelo named him as captain. Becks has been cap for a looooooooooooooooooong time so he should take a rest just like Ryan Giggs.

Believe me or not, Cappelo could choose Barry!!!!!!!!

It's got to be Stevie G, He's got all the quality you expect from a captain not like that thug JT. He's been Liverpool captain for sometime now and would slot in well to the England captains roll. He's got the respect of all the England players and he's quite possibly the best midfielder on the planet.
