- A 26 year old player been in the league longer and are proven at their position. A 22 year old may be a great college player who is a bust in the NFL.

- Quarterbacks tend to be smarter, and more studious in the game, so they can make the players around them better.

- An elite running back to couple with the quarterback would be easier to find than an elite quarterback to place on a team with the running back.

The star 26 year old quarterback. If he is a star at the qb position then that means he is a good leader. And the qb is the leader on the field.
