I'm in a 10 team, head-to-head league. I currently have Stephen Drew as my SS. Aviles is available. Someone just dropped Tejada-- to get him, I might need to give up my #1 waiver priority. Do I stick with Drew? Or make a move?

My hitters are:

C- Mauer

1B - Berkman

2B - Figgins

3B - Wright

SS - Drew

OF - Lee

OF - Burrell

OF - Dye

UTIL - Quentin

DL -Soriano

  1. The reason Tejada is available is because he's hittiong .222/4/8 since June 1 with no HR and 2 RBI in July.

His typical production is.285/7/29 during those 2 months and though he's 6 for 17 since the break his HR drought continues.

Aviles is off to a good start but the Royals and is hitting .436 since the break. Still, he's a 27-year old rookie who plays for Kansas City and I recall Angel Berroa going .287/17/73 in his rookie year of 2003 only to see his numbers decline each year after. I believe he's cleaning the home clubhouse at Dodger Stadium now.

Drew is only 25-years old and has rebounded nicely from a dismal '07 showing. He's hitting .389 since the break and typically posts better numbers in the 2nd half of the season (.276 post-break avg. vs. .253 pre-break). I think in this case the best move is no move at all.

  2. Go with Tejada, he is ranked higher and his team gives him more run production opportunities.

  3. I say go with Tejada he is better than Stephen Drew. I had Stephen Drew on my team and he was horrible

  4. I'd go with Drew. ARZ is a young hot team. He should do well.

  5. Well if its a keeper league then I'd go with Stephen Drew. But otherwise I'd take Miggy. In my league, Tejada is ranked 5th while Drew is ranked 10th.
