  1. I suppose it would depend who you have hitting after him to see if you can drive him in. But overall I want player 2 hitting leadoff because he has modest power, good speed and with 40 2b and 17 3b, he is in scoring posistion about 11% of the time, without counting the steals (600AB/57 [40 2b+17 3b]= 11.).  He doesn't have that many errors either so thats a plus, assuming he is a infielder.

  2. Player 2. He has a good BA and gets on base often. And once he gets on he seems to be able to take second. Those triple numbers also lets me know he takes chances, and is fast. Both good qualities in a leadoff hitter

  3. player 2 has a good avg. and the most SB's, a good lead off hitter's  job is to get on base and give your team a good chance to score

  4. You left out run scored, but included errors?

Players 4 & 5 seem better suited a little lower in the lineup.

Any of the others would look good at the top of the order, but I'll give the edge to #2 as he has more apparent speed, as shown by the triples and SB's.

  5. Player 2 - .300, 18 HR, 70 RBI, 40 2B, 17 3B, 70 BB, 55 SB, 20 E

    Sounds like an Ichiro no?

  6. Player 5...it's a no brainer.

  7. 5

    he does his job

    thats all he need

  8. Player 5, no question. Has highest numbers in batting avg., tied for doubles, good power and RBI, great steal total and secon best in walks. Only other competition is Player 2 because of batting avg. combined with walks, stolen bases and number of extra base hits. Bottom line is Player five gets on base, can steal, and keeps pitchers on toes with some pop in the bat. Only downside is fielding, and depending on what position he plays he may still have a decent fielding percentage.

  9. Player 4 no question. 0 Errors! That is absolutely priceless.

  10. In order,

    Player 5

Player 1  (I can think of a few different spots for  this player, like 3rd)

    Player 2

    Player 4

    Player 3

  11. player 4

  12. player 2...Has speed from the look of the SB...and speed is the main thing for leed off hitters

  13. I have to go with Player 5, you need a lead-off batter who can get on base and can also steal many bases.  Every player has a down side and Player 5's downside is fielding-BIG DEAL!You asked who would you rather have as a lead-off "hitter" not who would yuo rather have as a player on your team...True? I hope you like my answer.

  14. Player 6, he sounds good.

    Player 6- .666, 78 HR, 430 RBI, 89 2B, 23 3B, 400 BB, 0SB, 0E

  15. Player 5, you need your lead off hitter to get on base.  Simple as that.  Plus he has a lot of doubles which puts him in scoring position and gets enough walks as well.

Player 2 would also be very good because of the stolen bases and triples.
