No doubt Magic Johnson.  He made some very average players look great at times.  And the guy is under-rated for his ability to score-- he could have averaged 25-30 points a game if he had chosen.  But the guy was a walking threat to be a triple double- and we saw him do what he did- against some great great teams in the '80s.  Personality wise Kobe and Magic are both intense- but Kobe turns up the intensity- while Magic's smile was infectious and made the game fun... showtime was brought about cause of Magic and his rivarly with Bird.

Who wouldn't want a guard that can play so many position.  Great post up player as well.  I was never a fan of Magic but I appreciate his skills and what he can do.

I guess it would depend on how my team was built. If there was already a playmaker on the team, it would be redundant to have Magic on the team. Likewise, if there was a scorer, it would be redundant to have Kobe on that team.
