Utley. He is more consistent and mature player. Consistency is the most important thing in baseball, but Reyes is a hack of a player as well.

Chase Utley, hands down.  Oh wait, he is on my team, ha.  There are several reasons I'd rather have Chase, but the main reason is that Chase has a much better attitude than Jose.  Bad attitudes in baseball, and some of the antics Jose pulls makes me angry.  But Chase is just an all around better player, in my opinion.

Chase Utley - for the reasons everyone already stated.  And also b/c he doesn't attempt to audition for "So You Think You Can Dance" during every game.

UTLEY !! No question about it. First of all he's a way better hitter and he's better defensively and most importantly a way better leader and team player. Reyes is a loser. Look at him do those g*y dances after he hits homers and he points a finger up in the air while rounding the bases. Utley, by a mile

it's like comparing apples and oranges.

Reyes is the Mets leadoff hitter and table setter

Utley is the Phillies number two/three hitter and one of the big bats

Thus, Reyes has 3 more runs, 21 more hits, 30 more stolen bases, 13 less strikeouts and 13 points higher a batting average. These are all categories Reyes should outperform Utley.

Utley, however, has 2 more doubles, 18 mores homers, 33 more rbis and 86 points higher a slugging percentage. All categories Utley should outperform Reyes.

Both are great players, and it's tough to pick one because they are so different- and having equally productive years.

A better comparison would be Reyes with the likes of Victorino or maybe Rollins (although Rollins is a special player that hits EVERYWHERE in that lineup) or Utley with the likes of Wright.
