Who would you say is the most arrogant team in the AFL?

A newspaper article in one of todays issues nominated Hawthorn as being the most arrogant team. The journo cited Jeff Kennett sticking his nose into Melbourne's affairs & suggesting they move to the Gold Coast; coach Clarkson's display of abusing a reporter after their team's first loss; goalkicker Mark Williams' 'choking' gesture to Port coach Williams; Franklin's recent episode in the nightclub involving alleged throwing of a drink over people & rudely propositioning a female.

There's quite a bit more but nothing has changed my mind. I still reckon Collingwood wins hands down - mainly because of the clubs supporters.

  1. People just think that Collingwood supporters are arrogant because they wish their teams had such passionate support. I'd have to say the most arrogant team is Carlton, especially Fevola.

    No-one else comes anywhere near them. Eddie & Mick are bad enough but when their team wins Collingwood supporters certainly give the club a bad name.

    Arrogant definitely is more suited to Eddies Pies, the whole, rules don't apply attitude is awfully arrogant... and yeah whats with the clash jumper issue, its just a JUMPER hellooo!!

    They are the most full of themsleves people i have ever met!!

  6. PORT ADELAIDE definitely. They have the most arrogant players in the comp. Example; Tredrea, Cornes bros, Burgoyne bros, they all just come accross as arrogant especially Tredrea. Do u remember the gesture tredrea made last yr against North Melbourne? the bow he took. WELL THAT RIGHT THERE IS PURE ARROGANCE!

  8. Are you serious? West Coast are the most arrogant team by 1000 miles, their players are arrogant and until some recent drug OD's they thought they were untouchable. There's nothing better than watching them turn to jelly (or ice or coke or whatever) when the pressure is on. They need a few wooden spoons to straighten their attitude out.

    I think Port have made a pretty strong claim over the last few years too just quietly...

  12. I too would have to say Collingwood - though it works well for them as they seem to get whatever they want from the AFL (Minimal travelling each season, laughable clash jumper....)

    honestly i dnt think so. (though i am a hawks supporter)

    we have a lot of young players who arent as used to the playing maybe as other teams are, this year we are going pretty well, no 1 can deny that, so our younger players are geting more confident

    people are probly seeing that confidence as arrogance. i think it is the former,

    collingwood the most arrogant for sure 4 me

    their supporters do have a lot to do with it tho

  19. The fact that Collingwood demand that the AFL revolve around them in regards to fixtures and uniform changes puts them right at the top of the pile in regards to arrogance. Dont get me started on Eddie.

  21. How about a team that is so arrogant they even tell the AFL hierarchy which jumper they are going to wear and make the home team change their jumper to fit in with them.
