Who would you want, pitching/batting?

Question

What player past and present would you want on the mound if you were in a must win game, and why?

What player would you have at bat with two runners on, 2 outs, in Game 7 of the World Series? Why?

I would have Nolan Ryan pitching and David Ortiz batting

On the first one I'd want Bob Gibson because of his dominance and the fact that he had a 1.12ERA season. That's impressive.

On the second one, you would need a clutch hitter and that would be Derek Jeter.  Just a slap hit between right and center can get that run home.  I suppose were either one run down or tied so that's all we need, a base hit.

For a pitcher I would want Sandy Koufax. On any given night he could be simply untouchable. As far as a hitter i can't think of any body else but Ted Williams. Just a pure hitter I would stake a world series on.

I would like Jack Morris on the mound in a game 7 or basically any start where alot of work on the mound is needed...because after I saw with my own eyes what he did in the '91 world series against Atlanta....there is no question when a pitcher is needed...BlackJack is a WAR HORSE!

Batting?  Derek Jeter...because he possesses 153 hits(most in a career) in the postseason...batting .309 with 17 homers and 49 RBI.... That is pretty clutch, IMO

My pitcher would Whitey Ford, just probably the most domiant pitcher of his era. He knows how to strike someone out if he needs it.

Jeter all the way. I dont care what people say about him. Most clutch hitter I've ever seen.

Mariano Rivera would be my pitcher because of his track record and at the plate would be Derek Jeter because of his batting average in that situation.

My Pitcher is Randy Johnson because he was my favorite player when i was a kid and he is a great pitcher.

My hitter: Ted Williams because he had a record for a average of .400 as career and that's hard to do.
