Shawn always wanted to be like Ric Flair as a kid. He credits Ric for being his inspiration for wanting to be a wrestler and achieving such a level of success. This is one of the reasons Flair chose Shawn his final opponent. If Shawn was going to do same thing then his opponent would definitely be Chris Jericho. I think Jericho deserves it more than anyone else. Not to mention their classic match at Wrestlemania 19 that Jericho lost. Ric Flair was Shawn's Hero, Shawn is Jericho's Hero, so let the cycle continue.
