I thought it was ¨Drinkers of the Wind¨, but now I´m not so sure..it tells of the king of Morrocco sending some of his best colts to king of France, who sends them out on the street, etc, then they end up after years of hardship in London, and so on...Thanks.

  1. idk

  2. Oh that is one of my favorits too! Margarite Henrys King of the Wind

The young boy is mute, and saves the life of the foal with camel milk and honey in the beginning, and is never parted from his side untill at last they are both finally understood.  It's safe to just buy all of her works, and once  is never enough! She also did Misty of Chintogeague and more. Link below.

  3. The book is by Marguerite Henry and is called "King of the Wind."

If you can, try to find an edition with the color illustrations by Wesley Dennis.

  4. It was written by Marguerite Henry, one of my very favorite horse book writers, and the book is King of the Wind.  It's an excellent book; I have a copy.  Ms. Henry wrote lots of books about horses.  She died back in 1999.
