Who you people think is better at boxing Julio cesar chavez or floyd mayweather?

mayweather is the better boxer and if they ever were able to fight in their primes mayweather would win easy. Just look back at the meldrick taylor fight , thought he lost he was winning the fight and had the ref let it continue he would have won. A better example to look at would be pernell whitaker vs chavez , whitaker easily won that fight and is pretty similar to mayweather but however due to the powers that be the fight was called a draw. Chavez was a great fighter and a warrior but knocked out a lot of nobodys and when was first defeated was protected the loss was later changed to a win somehow the next morning. Also there were a couple of fights he clearly lost in the past that somehow he got the decision or the fight was somehow ruled a draw. Mayweather is cleary the better boxer than Chavez but Chavez is tougher and likes to go toe to toe with opponents. But boxing is not only about being touch and mayweather is defintly more skilled than chavez had ever been and has more talent.

It would not be fair for both boxer to compare them side by side. Styles are different. one runs away from the heavy fire and a wizard on defense,  the other a relentless attacker that could hit hard and make you pay on later rounds.

I would love to see Julio Sr. vs Floyd on the best times of their careers.

chavez is the better boxer, mayweather is a suberb athlete and an excellent boxer, but if they ever squared off in their respective primes, chavez would win at 130,135 or 140 pounds and mayweather would win at 147.

this question is just wrong. you should hit yourself for comparing those two. Julio Cesar Chavez was a great fighter and a great person. btw Chavez beat Roger Mayweather in the ring when they were both fighting and he would have destroyed Mayweather if it were possible for them to fight each other both at their primes. Mayweather is a great fighter but don't ever compare him with a warrior like Chavez. What has Mayweather even done in the last 2 almost 3 years. When is gonna fight someone that will be a challenge for him?

What are most of you thinking?  Meldrick Taylor really won the first Chavez fight and he doesn't have anywhere the defense Floyd has.  Floyd has just as much speed as Taylor, much better defense, goes to the body better and better endurance.  

Floyd wins a decison.
