I personally find it sickening! What does everyone think about Bush's newest attack on women's health and reproductive rights?

  1. It won't get passed. Even politicians are too smart for that.

  2. Children are a blessing from God.  Every life is sacred.  Abortion is murder plain and simple.  The women who have abortions, the doctors who perform them and any other health care provider who has anything to do with abortions are all murderers.

  3. It's only because his wife is too old to have kids.  If he were 40 years younger, there is no way he would do this.  A young man cannot live without s*x.  Really, I think they would die.

*Ebay Rocks, 50% of women and babies in the pioneer days died during childbirth. They were NOT just fine. Perhaps you should re-read your history.

  4. He's trying to do as much damage as possible before he goes.

he's already the most unpopular president ever, so what does he care?

And of course ~ he and the mrs don't have to worry about this anymore and the girls will be able to get an abortion if they need it (and no-one will ever know), so what's he got to lose?

Bush is a tool of the nutjob right, and always has been.

    Cheers :-)

  5. Whew!  You're right - that is a real FRANKENSTEIN MONSTER!

Just about what one would expect form Bush, though.

I am sure, though, that if slips that one by on us, the next administration will make short work of it!

  6. Women didn't have contraceptives in the pioneer days. And they seemed to survive just fine, seeing how we're all here today.

If people were more sexually responsible, things like this wouldn't be an issue

  7. The Bush administration is OWNED by the large corporations who want a huge new crop of poor to work for them for little remuneration. Less children equals less future workers.  Less workers equals higher wages.  Simple economics.

As a professional, I cannot let my private beliefs interfere with my job.  Doctor shouldn't have the right to "forget" to advise patients of all their options.  What if a doctor thought that you shouldn't use radiation for cancer treatment - that cancer was God's will that you die?  Would they be able to just ignore medical procedures that could help because of their idea of God's will?

  8. And how am I supposed to enjoy s*x now without fear of pregnancy with my husband?

  9. I'm not saying that if someone has an accidental pregnancy that they should/shouldn't get an abortion, and the same goes for birth control.

What happened to the freedom of choice? thats the real issue here.

  10. It is a woman's body; shouldn't she have the right to decide?

  11. Let me guess, you are for choice, but you want to force doctors to perform abortions, bill control ect.

Edit: But does it really matter, Polesi refuses to allow any bills to be voted on.

  12. It's completely insane.

  13. I cannot imagine why anyone would want to increase the world population. If we are not going to build more oil refineries, we should decrease the population to a point where the demand for oil goes down.

  14. I heard about that a while ago.

There IS something you can do, though-- use Planned Parenthood's form to send a letter to Pres. Bush about it. Send the link to anyone you htink will sign. Post it on facebook/myspace. Spread the word. We can stop this.

    The form:

Also, Speaker for the House Pelosi opposes the proposed bill and issued a statement on it. It might be nice to send her a letter thanking her for her position :)
