  1. I think that you would have to ask yourself why and make some comparisons. You will find many of the things that make one culture different from another in terms of agriculture and aquaculture are only in what their governments allow and do not allow. One government will not allow the use of certain chemicals and medications on products that it imports; the country whose export it is might take risks that another will not. Look at the news today, Friday the 3rd of August, on the subject of catfish sent to the US and seized after it was released into that country. Medications used and frequently hard to spot without expensive testing were found and it happens frequently in many countries.

The key to your search is in the laws of the country, what it allows it's people to eat, and what it allows its people to import and export. All other things are equal, no one is doing something different from others.

  2. Here are a few links that you could try.  The best bet here to get the information you need fast is the Wikipedia link.  It also has a  lot of references that you could try if you need more.  The problems you might have with the other sources are that you may need to send off for most of the information that you need, which will take a lot longer than two days, and getting the information in English may be a problem in some cases. Good Luck.
