My mother and I shop at Whole Foods all the time. Are their cleaning products really green? Are their foods really organic? So I was just wondering if their food and products are actually the real deal environmentally friendly. Thanks!

  1. I never assume. I know many companies strive for a particular goal, but I always check myself. If a product has been organically grown it will have a label. There are different shades of green when it comes to cleaning products, so I look at the labels before I try a brand. There are many principals associated with ecofriendly, organic, all natural, fair trade etc. and it is difficult to meet all criteria, so I know what is important to me and I don't substitute others judgement for my own.

I am looking forward to the Whole Foods store that will be opening soon in my town, I am hoping I'll have a greater selection of products that will help me live a more sustainable life.

  2. Yes.They are environmentally friendly as possible. When they can't find there type of cleaning product, they use distilled water from a catalog. When they can't find organic foods, they wait to restock!

  3. The short answer is NO!  While there are sufficient numbers of morons about who have been conned into believing that  organic is better, there will be ever-increasing numbers of con-artists who cash in on the idiot market!
