Whole house network?

What do i need to install a whole house network system? Components? Etc. I have seen them installed in newer homes and would like to do it in mine.

you could go wireless, and get a wireless router and cards for all of your computers, but it is kinda sketchy.

best way is to buy a router, and run ethernet to all rooms that you want internet.  You would put the router in the basement, and the wires would run in the walls to ethernet jacks.

your internet connection then wires to the router, and it distributes to all rooms..

so you would need a router, ethernet cables, wall jacks, and probably an electrician to wire it.

Or, you can set up a not nearly as good wireless.
