  1. If you want the living scientist I am the one designed more than 30 types of safety equipments to save the man kind from disasters and accidents. Even though I have proved that I issued the warning 2 hours before Tsunami struck our coast with the use of my earthquake alarm the connected departments are not showing interest to find the fact how it was possible when others failed. After about 7 years struggle the people of other countries like China came out to find the usage of my life saving equipments. Now I am in 7th to give top answer in this field. The world may take few more years to recognize the usage of my inventions.

  2. Sir Isaac Newton, hands down.  His theories on gravity and motion helped humankind understand how the universe works.  He also discovered (invented) calculus.

  3. i think sir Issac newton who discovered the presence of the gravitational force and also William Harvey who was the first scientist to explain the actual position from which  the blood is originated and circulating in our body

  4. So far I think Einstein. His theory about the speed of light beeing the single constant in the universe(but not the time) will definitly help us discover more and more about it(universe).

  5. The One who invent an electric pump (heart) with 100% eefficiency at the beginning of life.

  6. Einstein described Galileo as the father of modern science - so I think that's a pretty big endorsement for Galileo.

Einstein was a genius, the Galileo challenged the authorities to accept scientific evidence even tho it went against the church's view. Scientists trust evidence over groundless belief - so I think it probably does have to be Galileo...

He was also smart enough to think of using a telescope for astronomy. He didn;t invent the telescope, that was the Dutch Navy, but he did have the imagination/creativity to think of how it could be used to further astronomical studies, and in the process discovered many pieces of evidence that turned what was then the conventional view of the universe on its head...
