The loss was due 2 some battin ,fieldin and bowlin errors as dhoni had said.The team should hav scored at a brisker run rate,the fieldin should have been better but it was good fieldin particularly run outs of Pathan and Akmal.Bowling should have also been to the standards.Parthiv  has been providing good starts but he takes2much balls{remember his 50 against punjab was the slowest 50}.HIS STRIKE rate is only about 100.Kapugedara cant be blamed for wasting balls because this is only his second or 3 rd match with the bat.But when u take Pathiv he has played 12 matches and he takes runs at the rate of 1 run 1 ball.He is an emerging player but takes 2 much time 2 settle.

I am overwhelmed by the answers given by many people for this question. I suppose many are against Rajastan its really great that  Chennai is getting good support. Please remember that this win was not an easy won as Chennai posed a threat till the last ball.  May be we should say Goni and Raina for missing yousuf's catch. And that one single wide which Balaji gave. These three are the reasons for Chennai's downfall.

i think mainly because of kapugudera for wasting 12 deliveries.badrinath would have got more than 8 from 12.

then balaji and poor fielding might be because of pressure.but still these shouldn't be the excuses in such an important game like this.over all good fight.

I dont think it would be wise pointing out fingers ...it was not a one sided win....both..both the teams played reallly well....one had to loose and so it happened....!!!

Yousuf Pathan...scared me for every ball he played...its tht he just wanted someone to lift up his spirits....and confidence...and hopefully made it happen!!!

Sohail Tanveer of Pakistan however, Kapugedera has only hit 8 runs in last over bc, the other CSK batsman got out before the 19th over other than that, balaji has loaned 42 runs off only four overs, so i blame Balaji & the CSK batsman not hitting enough runs to pass 175 at least. Either way who u want to blame it on. I found the IPL 20-20 very entertaining to watch.

CSK as there is no one player who wins or loses a match.Its a team who need to play in the ground.Many think its Balaji but others were also part of the lose. If any of the bowler or fielder would have saved just 2 runs then the story would have been different.

Only and Only one person was the culprit and he was SHANE WARNE who was responsible for Channai's losss other blames are just running from ones responsibilities like naming Raina, Kapugedara etc.

I wont blame anyone..........The team lost as a unit.....................Everyone made errors......its no use pin- pointing at just one person.............Dhoni said it himself........besides imagine when ur playing as a team and sum one points their finger at you for the loss....its ot fair.............the whole team made mistakes.............one thing is for sure......the team can walk away with pride as they are the seco0nd best team in the IPL. Blaming Kapugadhera for the loss is just unfair. He scored slow I agree, bt that was d first innings and thus u cannot pinpoint him as the culprit.

Balaji, well , his bowling was below par yesterday , but if Parthiv patel had not fumbled , then the Royals would still have required 2 off the last ball , that could have made a difference.

All in all, the Chennai lost as a team.

I mean, Raina dropped Yousuf, Gony dropped Yousuf, Kapugadhera didnt play his role, Balaji was weak, Parthiv fumbled it.

You just can't make so many mistakes in a final and win !!
