Fictional person: A young version of Dumbledore--brilliant, accomplished but willing to keep learning and to make mistakes

Real Person: Steven Hawking--brilliant astrophysicist and to me a hero because of his brains and ability to keep doing in spite of a horribly painful and disabling condition. Admittedly, I want the brilliance and ability including persistence, not the horrible disease that he must live with daily.

I would love to have been either Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni, even though she met a pretty grisly end, or Queen Elizabeth 1, an amazing woman, and all the intrigues at court would have been absolutely fascinating.
