Whoot Canada! A medal at last?

Well this is exciting - Canada has a medal at last. I knew it would be the rowers (one of whom graduated from my highschool!)

Congrats to NZ too on that matter - your sculler did superduper.

And soon to be 2 unless our wrestler tests positive, but from the size of her I doubt she's pumping. Girl is mini. Would be nice to hear our anthem being played so I hope she wins gold - just to give those damned anthem-commercials merit.

It's nice to see us on the medal board. Our job is complete. We can now wait until the real olympics start in 2010.

Well, we only got 5 medals at Athens. So 2 seems okay, actually.

On a side note, speedwalking is an olympic sport? Really? It's actually the strangest looking sport ever. Especially from the guys. Very weird looking.

Do you think that every country will get a medal at the olympics? That would be nice.

I guess the winter Olympics are the real Olympics only if your Canadian, most people don't see it that way.

Yaaaaaaay canada!!! about time isnt it lol you sound like your pee ing your pants about it abit like us NZders when we won our first medal and then our first gold well that just made our day.  I wake up this morning and we have another gold im falling all over myself.  

We sure know how to appreciate being on the medal table it sure is a blessing lol!!

I knew waking up at 4:30 would pay off and I see Canada's get our first medal, I didn't know I'd get to see TWO of them in a span of 10 minutes.

Makes the day of groggyness ahead worth it. :D
