I have been at the costa del sol a couple of times... my parents usually spend the winter months there. Very nice area, I just wouldn't want to go in summer, cause it's very hot and full of tourists. In winter, unfortunately, there are mainly old people from Britain :-/

Spring is great - and even warm enough to swim in the ocean...

My favourite town to stay: Nerja

We lived there for a couple of years. The locals are very friendly as are the ex-pat Brits. Puerto Cabopino is worth a visit (just outside Marbella) and eat at Alberts on the Harbour. Fuengirola is good fun but watch out for the gypsies. Marbella is very cosmopolitan and quite expensive. At the other end of the Costa -Nerja is pretty but the prettiest village in Spain is Frigilliana (just behind Nerja). Have a good time!

Yes I have, and loved it. Puerto Banus is very much the Sloane Street of Marbella, with all the usual shops, gucci, YSL, LV, etc, lovely restuarants around the harbour and Sinatras......very in place again right on the harbour.  My friend has a villa just up by the bull ring, they also have great Markets with all leather goods etc.  I would certainly go again and again, just need to earn enough money to maintain the lifestyle I should have become accustomed to by now. Hey hoe, keep dreaming of winning the lottery, thats the only way I could afford to live there.

I have too. I have been to Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmedena, Fuengirola, Torreblanca, Los Boliches. The last time I went there we were in the next hotel to Joe McGann

I have been to Marbella, Peurto Banus & Estepona. Very nice part of the world.

Would recommend a visit any time of year.
