Whos been to the RIU hotel in Negril Jamaica?

Question

im going there this summer and i want to know if its good.

i know tht theres like 4 or 3 buildings and then one main building.

is there any difference of the buildings?

and for resturants to u have to go to the main building?

I stayed at Riu Tropical Bay and had a blast. I went for a good friends wedding so we had about 10-15 people with us and all of us had a great time. The food,rooms, and staff were excellent.

If i recall correctly, Yess you do have to go to the Main building for restuarants but this was very much like sandals or other similar hotels. Overall Its IMPRESSIVE. I went there just a few months after they started operating and i was stunned by the place. Its among the best places you could stay in negrill (or jamaica as a matter of fact!). It will be money well spent.

I went there last summer for a few nights. The main building has the check in lobby, 2 bars, a coliseum for shows,  a small "casino", 3 stores, gym, spa, and 2 restaurants. There are like 4 buildings off to  the right that are the rooms. The RUI Negril is nice. The beach is decent enough. I like the area of beach between RUI Negril and RTB.  I thought the food was good, the rooms were nice and clean, and the facilities were good. They have a stocked fridge in the room and a mini bar. It's a little far from the beach action, but it's just a short cab ride to everything. There is a restaurant across from the main building that has the lunch buffet and at night it's a Brazilian steak house. The jerk chicken at the beach grill is yummy too.

It's definitely not a bad place to stay at all. My son loved it there.
