  1. i would have to go with jerry rice

  2. Jerry Rice. The NFL is much more competitive than the CFL, that's why people that couldn't get drafted in America go to Canada. If Rice where in the Canadian League, he would dominate and break all the same record he broke in the NFL. Milt is great in the CFL, and he is widelly repsected, but if he went to the NFL (in his prime) he would be just a regular reciever, not a Hall of Famer.

  3. I thought Stegal was the best Reciever in the CFL, and although they are in two very different leagues, I will have to stick with Stegal. Dont get me wrong, Rice is an amazing player, but like you said, he played for a LONG LONG time, but Milt Stegal is unarguably the best WR in the CFL. Did you catch his last second TD over the eskimos? That was sick!

I am pretty sure Jerry Rice cant pull that off. People critisize the CFL because of their large field, but you gotta remember, the CFL has only 3 downs, so the pressure is on for the WRs to make a certain catch. No drops.

Also, CFL has a few more players on the field than NFL, so really, I have to say its harder to play CFL ball. Upon saying that, I think Milt Stegall is a slightly better player.

  4. They are two different games, it's difficult if not impossible to compare.  You CANNOT just say the Rice dominated in the NFL and therefore would have dominated the CFL.  I recall several ex-NFLers that dominated the NFL but sucked in the CFL.  The latest example of that is just Ricky Williams.  Some people can make the crossover and some cannot.  I think all we can safely say is the Rice was the best NFL receiver ever and Milt is the best CFL receiver ever.

  5. You can't even compare Jerry Rice to Milt Stegall. Milt Stegall is an amazing player in the CFL, but he couldn't make any NFL team's roster. Meanwhile, Jerry Rice is arguably the best receiver in NFL history.

  6. i`m going to say jerry only cause milt is not classified as a receiver but as a slot back but but overall milt kicks *** hands down, jerry had great QBs to throw to him milt has a new QB almost every season

  7. jerry rice ya he played long but his last few years he sucked. So he was unstoppable before his last few yrs. He holds like every major reciving record and is the best reciver ever to play the game.

  8. Stegall my man! lol he's a Bommers - gotta love him! I hope for his sake the team wins the Grey Cup

  9. ferry rice is the way better player by a long shot even whean he was in his last year he was the best still and no one could make him miss a game he never missed a game in his life

  10. jerry rice best all time in any league.

  11. Are you dumb!! Jerry Rice was the baest in the real mans league, the NFL. Theres no way that any receiver from the CFL can ever even come close to Jerry Rice. If you think Stegalls is better than you must not have seen Rice play. Or his many highlight videos.

  12. There is not comparrison here...Jerry Rice.  Yes, CFL and NFL are two different games...but, in the CFL you're playing against basically second rate players compared to the NFL.  Stegall couldn't make it in the NFL yet is a star in the CFL.  Not that there's anything wrong with that but, its a fact.  In the days when Warren Moon played, the talent level of the CFL was pretty good (not NFL mind you but it was much better than it is now).  The worst thing that happened to the CFL was NFL expansion which killed the CFL's talent level because more jobs opened up in the NFL.  Anyway, Jerry Rice by far....Stegall wouldn't even be considered a Top 100 reciever of all time in the NFL.

  13. jerry

  14. Jerry is a god, milt is good but he plays in the farm system for the nfl.

The field is also 15 yards wider in the cfl. so much easier to get open on an out or fly or post.

Rice made a living making quick slants into the (tighter) middle with guys alot bigger than the cfl players.

    nuff said

  15. They played very different games, but I would have to say that Rice would be better even under CFL rules.

  16. Jerry Rice. He's the best Ever.
