  1. Ok let's see,,The Red Sox have won 2 WS in the last 3 yrs,The Red sox are 5 games ahead of the yankees as i'm typing this.So i guess it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to know as of right now The Bo Sox are a better team!  Die Hard Yank fan here.

  2. I think the Sox are better (this year).

  3.    You can't say the sox are better then the Yanks! You can tell who's better after the world series. The record doesn't matter, it's if you get a ring.... or not?

  4. If the question was, who has won the most championships, the answer would be easy but, that's not the question.  This year, the Red Sox are the better team.  Actually, for the past 4 yrs they have been pretty much the better team.  I love the Sox and would pick them even if they hadn't won a WS since 1918.  Win or lose, I love them and will always pick them over any other team.  Red Sox are the best to me and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

    Happy Birthday to Joba Jr.

  5. Sox this year

  6. what does the number 26 mean to you?

  7. It is plain black and white that the Boston Red Sox are better than the Yanks, FLAT OUT!! Better pitching, offense, management, bullpen to a certain extent and ballpark always has and always will be way better. Two rings in four years to the Yankees none. We have a better GM in young Theo and our owners know when to shut up!

    Tek is better than Posada

    Youk is better than Giambi

    Pedroia is better than Cano

    Jed is better than Jeter

Lowell is better than A Rod

    Bay is better than Matsui

Jacoby is better than Judas Damon

    J.D. is better than Abreu

    GO SOX!!!

hope that's the answer you where looking for

  8. its 3-2 soxs and we're only in the top 3rd....bad pitching and good offense for both sides, oh wait, Crisp hits it deep, he hits it far, Abreu at the wall, he looks up...and jumps, and makes an over-the-fence catch to rob Coco crisp off a home run, we're headed to the bottom of the 3rd, 3-2 red soxs....*dun dun dun dun dun* (how will this amazing rivalry end

  9. This year, RedSox.  Historically,  the Yankees, not even a question.

  10. I don’t care what team is actually better, I love the rivalry! I’m a Masshole, always have been! I currently live in FL and I think we have more Red Sox fans living here (and Yankee fans) than that of actual Florida teams. However, look out, the Rays are looking good!!

With that said, “Let’s go Red Sox!”

I’ve even got my 2 yr old on track. He knows how to say “Go Pats” now we’re working on “Go Sox!”

  11. If you took the teams as they are right now, depleted with injuries h**l neither of them are all that great. They are surviving, best example look at the standings. Yes the Rays have had a good year, yes they have some good talent, but they are not the best team in baseball people they are the freakin Rays. I truly belive if the injuries to the likes of Big Papi, Beckett, & Manny being gone, as well as Wang & Joba & Matsui & Jorge being gone it really would be & should be a 2 team race. The Yankees & Red Sox, this season still dosent seem real to me since so many people have been out.

Even if the Rays made the playoffs does anybody think they have a shot? I feel next year they will be this years Colorado, rising from a bad team to have a good season, get slapped with all these expectations for next season & just come out dead as a doornail & get tossed right back into the cellar where they belong!  Come on Baltimore in 09' please take 4th place away from the Rays!

  12. This season, Red Sox are just a little better & not by much,  Historically the Yankees are way better & didn't have to wait 86 years between championships.  Both look good for the future but Red Sox will never catch up to the 26 titles the Yankees have won & I may not have been alive for all of them, but I did witness 6 of them

  13. Go Red Sox! I'm Anti-Yankees! The team's overrated

  14. I hate to admit this, but the Red Sox are better than the Yankees for a few years now (Since the '04 ALCS).  The Yankees should be glad to see the Red Sox lineup without Manny,  This might give the Yankees a better chance in the upcoming series (Fingers Crossed).

If a situation came up for both teams to hit for clutch in a bases loaded 9th inning 2 outs situation, the Red Sox would get that clutch hit, every player in the Red Sox lineup can hit for clutch which is a really good sign for their future.

  15. as painful as this is for a big yankees fan.....right now the sox are much better.

  16. Historically, the Yankees.  Lately, the Red Sox

  17. Neither are going to make the playoffs, so the rest of America wins!!

  18. Being an O's fan i hate both these teams so much but according to the standings, being that there in the same division the Red Sox are better (at least this year)

  19. This season the Red Sox have played better. Look at the records, look at the statistics. You can't deny it.

But I also think that injuries played a large part of this season for the Yankees. Other teams that had as many injuries on such awful levels are out of contention by now.

  20. red sux.

  21. Red Sox definitely. The record does not lie.

  22. Past-Yanks

    Current and Future- Red Sox

    That's my opinion

  23. Historically: The Yankees. And it's not even close.

This year: The Red Sox, even though the Yankees have played them close all year. (The season series is tied 6-6.)

And having won the MOST championships in history is an indication of being the best baseball team ever. The stats don't lie. The Yankees have 26 World Series titles, 19 more than the Red Sox and 16 more to their closest competitor. (The St. Louis Cardinals.) You can discount it all you want, but it's fact.

As for the future: Who knows? Both these teams could look drastically different in the coming years. The Yankees will defnitiely look to bolster the pitching staff in the offseason because they can't count on Ian Kennedy and Phil Hughes yet and the Red Sox may try to get some offense to make up for Jason Varitek's aging and the absence of Manny Ramirez.

Edit: LOL at the dude who said that Lowell was better than A-Rod. Just because you win a World Series MVP award doesn't make you better than a future Hall of Famer. Stop fooling yourself, kid.

And no way is Varitek better than Posada. Not offensively, anyway.

  24. beware the chicago cubs dynasty in the making baby

  25. Red Sox

  26. In my opinion, I`d say The Red Sox but just by a little, Yankees are right behind them

  27. Red Sox! I honestly don't hate the Yankees and I'm a Red Sox fan. The Yankees are a good organization with great players along with the Red Sox.

  28. Now... Boston all the way. We have the team to beat now. I guess you can say we have since 2004. Yankee's are a great team, but it is sad how they have to buy the best players money can buy to be that team. They are the evil empire. Honestly, Boston was the Evil empire in the early 1900's winning 5 Championships,(1903, 1912, 1915, 1916, 1918). Everybody likes to just blame it on Babe Ruth, but we lost a lot of players to the Yankee's and Indians through trades and just selling players from 1918 to 1922. They are both great teams, but it is our time now. For the Real Red SOx fans that have been waiting for this like me, Enjoy it while its here.

  29. Red Sox have been better the past few years.

Long History though points to the Yankees as being a better team: just count Championships & Hall of Famers.

  30. Red Sox clearly, but the Rays are better than both.
