If everyone that buys a import car left our country, how many American jobs and land would be left for the real Americans. What country do you support ?

  1. My "import" car was built on American soil. Most "American" cars are built in other countries. Also, imports are generally more reliable and retain value better than American cars. If American car companies made more cars that people want to buy (not just because of a sale) then they wouldn't be in as much trouble as they are right now.

    Please do some research on this matter. It goes beyond cars... how many products that you buy are made in America? Does everyone who shops at Walmart support China over America?

    I can't answer your question.  I can only point out the fact that for the past 3 years many American car manufacturers have shifted production of 'US cars' to Canada.  The reason? Because, according to CNN, health care costs for auto workers in the US adds $6,000 to the cost of each vehicle produced for the employer.  In Canada, health care costs only add $800 to the cost of manufacturing the vehicle.

    Are you willing to pay $5,000 extra for your car to subsidize the cost of  health care for American auto workers?  Most people in the world aren't willing to do that.
