Hi! I've been for a week in Sofia and on a day trip to the Rila Mountains. I've spent 3 days shopping from morning till evening, there was a big open market named elyensi something like that, everything was cheap! Apart from Cheap shopping there's not 2 much to see, at least not for my interests. The Rila are very nice you should plan a day trip. Also u can catch a night bus to istanblu ( 25 Euros ) and spend 2 nights over there! there are lots of things to see :)

Yes, I was there few years ago in Nesebar and Sunny Beach, than I've visited Kjustendil, Sofia, Sandanski, I've climbed mt. Rila highest pick "Musala" and many other places i can't recall at the moment..

I've lived here now for 2 years and been all over it.  I now live full time in a place called Cherven Bryag sort of southwest of Pleven.  Its right on the main Sofia/Varna train line so transport to and from is simple.  Its a cracking little town, half 21st century and half 18th century, our neighbour still uses his horse and cart as transport around the town.  I'm lucky as i was the 1st English guy here and everyone yes everyone knows me.  The people are so helpfull,  my little street fed me and the girlfriend for the 1st month we were here, no joke, everyday someone came in with food for us, sometimes twice.  We have had so many favours done for us, cutting up wood and splitting it, cutting the grass, the neighbours son one day even ran to the girlfriends aid when she saw a snake and screamed..  It realy is a remarkable area and I would recomend it to anyone.  My friend from the UK came  here for 3days,  stayed 6 weeks and bought a house.

i was there this time last year for 2 weeks. I was visiting my father in Svishtov.  I also hit up Sofia, Turnovo (i suggest this place), and The coast of the Black Sea (terribly touristy and kind of awful)
