It is yet unknown who will win the Kentucky Derby --  and for your second question --  a Horse - is the ONLY creature that can win the triple crown - no other but a horse can win the triple crown.

I like Notional, but with up to twenty horses entered in the Derby, post position will play a very important factor. I'll try to focus on the horses in post positions 5 through 12. I'll also be looking at horses that seem to be improving rather than a horse that might have peaked in an earlier prep race.

I don't think there will be a Triple Crown winner this year nor do I think there will be one for quite some time, it just seems far too difficult of a task.

I hear that Queen Elizabeth will be visiting the USA then, and has said she wants to see the Kentucky Derby. Security arrangements are being made, so guess she will be there.

Any horse that wins the Derby has a 66.3% chance of winning the Triple Crown.
